Marty – 2020
I was a recent long-time tenant of Royse and Brinkmeyer and if not for a relocation out of state, I still would be. I can't say enough good things about these folks...they are terrific landlords!!! Thank you everyone at Royse & Brinkmeyer....you guys are truly the best!!!!!🌞 … (edited for length, but visit our google page to see all the lovely things Marty had to say!)
Brittany – 2018
I am impressed with Royse + Brinkmeyer as a leasing company! I had a fantastic experience with Jess showing me around. She was genuinely interested in helping me find exactly what I was looking for in an apartment down to the unit based on my preferences.
Jeff – 2020
Quiet place to live. Maintenance responds fast to your requests. Property is well maintained. Onsite property manager is a huge plus. No more phone calls or a trip across town. You can just walk into the office right on site.
Hannah – 2020
I loved the outdoor movie night they hosted! It was a great way to enjoy an evening while keeping up with social distancing.
Ken – 2020
Their apartments are quiet, affordable, and well maintained. I've lived in 2 Royse + Brinkmeyer Apartments and both times I've had a good experience. They are professional and well organized from their front office to maintenance staff. Quick maintenance, great front staff if you have questions, and helpful leasing agents. I kept my apartment clean and received my deposit back in full with interest.
Evan – 2019
I've had three leases with Royse + Brinkmeyer and been extremely happy with all of them . They have a wide variety of apartments at all price points and take incredible care to help you find the one that you're looking for. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a clean, responsive, attentive property management company.
Keegan – 2020
Despite it being an apartment, once you get moved in and comfortable it almost feels like a resort away from home, which is odd despite it being your new home. The whole area is well kept and presentable along with the residents who live here. They're all people just like the rest of us with all their own complex lives, and it seems those living here understand that and do their best to be good neighbors. The service maintenance team is also on point, 3 of my problems solved within the first two days of posting.
Tatsuya - 2020
I recently moved into this community. Kara from Royse + Brinkmeyer made the experience seamless. I came from out of state and did a video tour. I was able to choose my preferred video chat app. Kara showed me around the unit and answered any questions I had. She was thorough and I had no surprises when I did move in. It was a lovely experience and I was not worried about what I would actually arrive to. When I first arrived there was a small issue with my mailbox lock. Kara was able to have that sorted out by the next day. It has been very quiet and comfortable so far. I would recommend this community and Royse + Brinkmeyer to anyone looking.
Chris - 2019
I'm impressed with this Community.
Courtney – 2020
I love Prospect Pointe Apartments I moved here a month ago and feel at home. My apartment is beautiful, it is peaceful, I feel safe, and issues are responded to and taken care of quickly and efficiently.
Ankita - 2020
Super nice apartment, with large windows in every room and a huge kitchen. The maintenance is super fast and hassle-free. Overall, I would give it 10/10 for everything.
Knika - 2020
I have been living here for about two weeks now. The move-in process has been great, everyone who works here is very kind and responsive. My neighbours are quiet and I don't hear them very often. The property is very well maintained, and it feels very safe.
Yijie – 2020
The Prospect Pointe Apartments have been my sweet home for 5 years. I love the apartment, the oasis, and the convenience of the surrounding. The location is right off I-57, and is super convenient regardless if you are a UI student, or that you need to commute between nearby towns. The staff have also been very nice during my stay. They NEVER dropped any surprising visits - always communicated with me beforehand. The maintenance staff was fast responding to my requests. Would still live here if I didn’t change my job in a different state :(
Jane - 2020
Stonegate village is a great place to live! The grounds are beautiful and very well taken care of. They have your safety in mind as well as the protection of your building. The pool is beautiful always kept very clean. The maintenance team is very professional, very quick to respond, knowledgeable and all very nice to work with. I have dealt mostly with Matt, the leasing agent and Ed inmin they are both experienced, helpful, friendly and keep my apartment in great shape. The apartments are very nice quality for the price. My neighbors are very friendly and I can honestly say Stonegate village is a great place to call home.
Dennis - 2020
Excellent value for the space. Maintenance is quick and friendly.
Ryan - 2020
I lived in Stonegate Village for 11 years from 2009 until 2020 and I'd be living there still except a pandemic came along and disrupted my life! But I thoroughly enjoyed living there. The apartments give you a lot of space for your money. It's close to Kaufman lake and walking/biking paths. The pool is a great amenity in the summertime. Over the eleven years I lived there I only ever had a handful of maintenance requests which were all resolved quickly. And everybody on the staff from maintenance to office staff to property managers are good people. Thanks for the memories!
Timothy – 2020
I've only been here a week, but I would rate the professionalism and competence of the staff as 5/5. I can always get to someone who knows the answer. Unfailingly polite and friendly, I have yet to talk to anyone who doesn't listen and respond. I'm very happy I landed here and I'm hopeful that the rest of my time will be as easy. I gave five stars to maintenance, because my place was in great shape when I moved in. I haven't yet needed to call upon them for a repair.
Lindsey – 2020
We just moved in and so far are pleased with the staff and amenities. Good communication.
Annonymous - 2020
One of the nicest apartment communities in the area . Very well-maintained. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Alexa – 2020
Crowwood Pointe feels very safe, is quiet, looks beautiful, and is set up better than I ever expected my first apartment to be. I couldn't be happier.
Yea Jin- 2020
The apartment has a spacious and chic interior. In terms of location, it is convenient to commute to the UIUC with nearby bus stations and within walking distance to the champaign downtown. All the utilities are without any problems and well managed through maintenance even in an emergency. The building is always clean and well managed. Few drawbacks are a limited number of indoor parking spaces and the occasional noise if the unit is on the Neil st side.
Julie – 2020
We had a great experience working with the team at Royse and Brinkmeyer (520 Neil). From the leasing process, to the move out, they provided excellent customer service. The communication was spot on and made the whole experience a breath of fresh air. Kaitie went above and beyond to make sure the entire process ran smoothly. We are looking forward to working with Royse and Brinkmeyer again in the future.

We are building a composting center in the empty lot at 611 W. Healey, so we thought we should share some information about composting. We are newbies to this process, as are many of our residents, so we got some help from the University of Illinois Extension Office . Thanks to Amy DeLorenzo, Extension Educator for providing the information below and Maggie Furr for creating our infographic!
What is compost?
Compost is organic material (typically food scraps and green waste like grass clippings, leaves, sticks, etc.) that is used as a soil amendment. It can be made from material you already have on hand, especially kitchen scraps. It is an alternative to traditional soil amendments like fertilizer and is safe to use on both edible and non-edible plants.
Why is composting so important?
Typically, food and other natural materials that are thrown in garbage cans and landfills get mixed up with other garbage such as plastic, metal, etc. and do not break down effectively. This decomposing material releases methane gas, which is 30x more powerful than carbon dioxide in contributing to climate change. When you compost the material instead you transform it into a valuable resource instead of waste.
How do I compost?
There are many ways to participate in composting, and some are more suitable than others depending on your living situation:
If you live in a small space without access to and outdoor area, you may wish to participate in a compost collection service, in which people pick up food and yard scraps from your home. Inquire at your municipality to see if this is an option.
If you live in a small space and have house plants you would like to fertilize with compost a small worm bin or vermicomposting may be right for you.
If you have backyard space and wish to build a compost bin or compost pile, there are options for that as well.
Soon, If you are a Royse + Brinkmeyer resident who lives near 611 W. Healey you can add your compostable materials to the compost bin there! The bin is currently being built and should be ready for use in early fall.
What exactly is “compostable material”?
There are lots of commonly used household items that can be composted. For a detailed guide on what can and cannot be composted check out the infographic created by UIUC student, Maggie Furr, below.
